ANR Statue unveiled in style. The centenary celebrations of the legendary Telugu actor, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), commenced this morning in Hyderabad at the prestigious Annapurna Studios. ANR, born on September 20, 1923, in Ramapuram, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, holds an exalted place in Telugu cinema. With a career spanning over seven decades, he made profound contributions to the enrichment of Telugu cinema.
In honor of his centenary, a statue of ANR was unveiled at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a momentous event graced by several eminent personalities. Among them, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, serving as the chief guest, added a dignified presence to the occasion.
The celebration witnessed the participation of numerous luminaries from the Telugu film industry, who came together to pay their heartfelt tributes to the iconic actor. Members of the illustrious Akkineni family, including Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sumanth, Naga Chaitanya, Amala, and Akhil, congregated at the event to honor and perpetuate ANR's enduring legacy.
A constellation of Tollywood celebrities, including Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Allu Arvind, Brahmanandam, Murali Mohan, Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu, Rana, Manchu Vishnu, Nani, Dil Raju, Mohan Babu, and many others, graced the centenary celebrations.
