Karthi Japan Dubbing - An Innovative Video

Karthi Turns Quirky For Japan

Karthi is known for portraying wide range of characters in his film. His upcoming film 'Japan' is not an usual film going by the promo. The film which is based on real life events has dark and quirky comedy as main USP of the film. As usually Karthi aces his role in 'Japan' transforming into his quirky character.

A fun video that announces the start of the dubbing sessions for the action comedy is released. The one-minute-17-second-long video shows the Kaithi actor repeatedly failing to come up with the required voice modulation while trying to say the dialogue, "Karma naa enna nu theriyuma da unakku?" (Do you know what Karma means?)

“Something is missing in it,” the director Raju Murugan keeps telling Karthi, who gets flustered and leaves the recording room. He, however, comes back, all decked up in the character costume and wig to deliver the dialogue with swag. 'Japan' is slated to hit theatres for Diwali, 2023. The teaser of the film, which was released on Karthi's birthday recently, showcased him in a never-before-seen look and role as a wacky gangster.
