Shriya Saran is an accomplished dancer. She aspired to become a well-known dancer, she became an actress and made her film debut with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001) Even before the release of her first film, she was signed to four more films, including Nuvve Nuvve starring Tharun which also marks the directorial debut of Trivikram. She got a big offer with Rajinikanth, Shankar's Sivaji. She also made her debut to English films with The Other End Of The Line along with Cooking With Stella and Midnight's Children. She also made Malayalam debut with Pokkiri Raja.
After a brief set back period Shriya is back to form but as one of the leads with Akkineni family's classic Manam followed by Gopala Gopala, Drishyam and Gautami Putra Satakarni. She was also seen in Global Blockbuster RRR opposite Ajay Devgn.
