Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 which is a sequel to 27-year-old pan-India blockbuster Indian has been facing hurdles ever since its announcement. At first, the film faced a mishap while shooting the film in night effect. The massive lights carried by the crane fell and cost the lives of people working on the film.
After that, there was a court issue between Producers Lyca and Director Shankar. When everyone thought that the film would be shelved, Udhayanidhi Stalin entered the project solved all issues, and became one of the producers for the film after the release of Kamal Haasan's blockbuster Vikram.
After facing many hurdles the film restarted its shoot in September last year and is progressing as let the plan. Now the latest news is versatile actor SJ Suryah has been roped into the film. He is said to be playing the main antagonist against Kamal Haasan in the film. Already SJ Suryah is playing the negative role in Shankar's other directorial Game Changer starring Ram Charan.
Indian 2 is in it's final stages of its shoot. The film is being planned to be released in the Summer. Anirudh is composing the music while Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Siddharth are playing other key roles.
