Rana Daggubati on National Awards controversy

Rana on National Awards controversy

Rana Daggubati on National Awards controversy. Right after the best actor award at the national level was conferred to Icon Star Allu Arjun for his performance in Pushpa The Rise, many started targeting the awards committee for selling out the award out of favors or under some influence.

They pointed out that performances of Suriya in Jai Bhim and others were ignored and questioned how could the jury confer the award to Allu Arjun for portraying the role of a smuggler.

In the midst of all this, Rana Daggubati speaking to scribes reacted to the controversy. He said "Each one is entitled to their opinion. You might like a film and I might like something else. It's the same with artists. It's not about the person. Many thought that story [Jai Bhim] would bag awards. But, it didn't. It's not about why the other person won it. It's never a controversy. They might have just shared a tweet, but there are people who make it a controversy. Amongst us, nothing is a controversy. Everybody can't get the merit."
