Superstar Rajinikanth is back with a bang. He has made a stunning comeback with Jailer which is toppling records. The film has already breached 600 Crore club and is currently moving ahead with Rs 650+ Crs globally in its four weeks of theatrical run.
The last decade has been tough for Rajinikanth. Except for 2.0 none of his films made any impact at the boxoffice. Many comments were heard that it's time for him to retire as he wasn't able to pull crowd like before. He strikes back with Jailer which made crowd thronging to theatres to watch Superstar back in action.
Reportedly Rajinikanth accepted Jailer in a profit sharing basis as his remuneration. After films gets completed and entire business was closed, it is said that he was paid Rs 100 Crores. After a stupendous run at the ticket windows, producer Kalanithimaran handed over another cheque to Rajinikanth on 31st August.
As per reports, the latest amount given to Rajinikanth as his share out of profits is close to another 100 crores. With this, Rajinikanth has received 200 crs as remuneration itself for Jailer. This might be a record in Indian cinema as the highest remuneration paid for an actor.
