Entire Tollywood is celebrating the momentous occasion of Icon Star Allu Arjun winning the national award for the best actor for his performance in the action entertainer Pushpa The Rise. He became the first actor from Tollywood in 69 years to win the award.
This is triggering the debate as to why the earlier and even legends and other accomplished actors like NTR,ANR,SVR and others did not get the award. Some say Sr NTR was almost finalised for the national award for his performance once but last-minute influence changed the decision.
Apart from it, a source shared "Legendary actors like NTR and ANR were satisfied with the response of the fans and Telugu audience, and didn’t really make an effort to win national awards. However, in the past two decades, our people have been sending applications and vying for national honors. This time, 24 films were in the race, with four films bagging the coveted awards."
