There is news doing rounds that prestigious production house, Geetha Arts from now onwards will only produce big films with stars. They have stopped production of small and mid range films. Their upcoming project is with Naga Chaitanya in Chandoo Mondeti 's direction. It is a period love story set in North India based on real life event.
Now as their next film in Chandoo Mondeti's direction will feature Suriya in the lead role. Geetha Arts has a contract of 3 films with Chandoo after the remarkable success of “Karthikeya 2.” His prowess as a director is widely acknowledged. They are planning an ambitious and high-budget Pan-Indian cinematic venture in collaboration with Suriya and Chandoo Mondeti.
The buzz around the industry suggests that this forthcoming film in the combination of Suriya and Chandoo Mondeti will be a socio-fantasy thriller. The film’s premise is based on concepts encapsulated within the four Vedas. Chandoo recently shared with Deccan Chronicle that his aim with this magnum opus is to instill a sense of spiritual awareness among the younger generation. He further revealed that he engaged in discussions with Suriya about the project, which will draw inspiration from the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda.
The film will take two years to get on track as both Chandoo and Suriya are currently busy with their projects. Chandoo Mondeti’s current film is with Naga Chaitanya, showcasing the narrative of fishermen in Andhra. Meanwhile, Suriya is busy in his current project, “Kanguva,” under the direction of Siva. Looking ahead, he has promising collaborations lined up with directors Sudha Kongara, Vetrimaaran, and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
