In an interesting move, noted Tollywood senior producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies has bought a pan Indian biggie. He has acquired the pan Indian theatrical rights of 800 which is the biopic of legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralidharan.
The latest updates are suggesting that Krishna Prasad has acquired the theatrical rights of 800 for a fancy price. He will now be releasing the film on a wide scale in all languages across India.
Krishna Prasad earlier had a pan Indian production and release with Samantha's Yashoda and he is entering the pan Indian market again with 800 now.
800 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English. The film has Slumdog Millionaire fame Madhur Mittal in the central role and Mahima Nambiar in the principal female lead role.
While it is confirmed that the film is to be released in October this year, the release date is to be announced soon. The trailer is to be unveiled in September. More promotional material will be out correspondingly.
