Jailer Becomes Second 500 Cr Film For Rajinikanth

Jailer Joins 500 Cr Club

Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer is unstoppable at the boxoffice. Ever since it's release on August 10th, it has set the boxoffice on fire. Within 11 days of its release, Jailer has grossed Rs 500 crore worldwide. Jailer has become the third Tamil film to enter the ₹500 crore club after 2.0 and Ponniyin Selvan 1.

Jailer earned Rs 18 crore nett in India in all languages, as per early estimates, on its 10th day. The Tamil film has been dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film went on to impress the audience and is turning out to be a profitable venture for everyone associated with it.

It is Rajinikanth's second film after '2.0' to join the elite club of Rs 500 crores at the box office worldwide. The film has completed 11 days in theatres and it is to be seen how the upcoming week holds for the film. The real test for Jailer starts from today.

Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer features Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer. The film also features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishna and Vasanth Ravi in lead roles. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar appeared in explosive cameo roles in the film. Anirudh composed music while Sun Pictures produced the film.
