This year, 2023 can be considered a comeback year for Star Heroes of Indian Cinema. It all started with Megastar Chiranjeevi. He has faced back-to-back failures with Acharya and Godfather. While many are expressing doubts about his capability, he came out with flying colors and scored the biggest blockbuster Waltair Veerayya this Pongal. The film rakes in close to Rs 150 Crs.
Then comes Shahrukh Khan, after a hiatus of five years from the big screen, King Khan cane with Pathaan which became an Industry Hit in Bollywood. The film collected Rs 1100+ Crs globally. With Pathaan SRK made a stunning comeback and is getting ready with his next, Jawan which is slated to release on 7th September.
Another stunning comeback is from Superstar Rajinikanth with Jailer. When heroes like Vijay and Ajith are cruising ahead, Rajini faced a dull period during the last decade. To say frankly, Rajinikanth's last film which defined his stardom is Robo in 2010. After reeling in failures, He made a sequel to Robo as 2.0 which became successful but not on the level of a Rajini's film. Jailer fulfilled that gap. It became huge blockbuster with Swag of Rajinkanth. It has already crossed 300 crs.
Another notable comeback is from Sunny Deol with Gadar 2. This is a sequel to Industry Hit Gadar Ek Prem Katha. The latest film is creating a havoc and trade is expecting the film might cross 200 Cr mark in it's first week. Another come back is given by Sree Vishnu. After a series of failures he scored a hilarious hit in the form of Samanavaragamana.
Considering all these we can call 2023 year is the year of comebacks.
