Normal life was disrupted in twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad due to heavy rains since Sunday night which continued virtually unabated till Monday morning.Several low-lying areas of the city were flooded with two to
three feet of water. The areas inundated with rain waters are colonies in Ramantapur, Premanagar in Amber pet, Nagamayaakunta in Nallakunta, Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Bhaudurpur and Laldharwaj. In these areas the rainwater entered into the houses causing lot of hardships to the residents.
Near Saibaba temple in Chaderghat area one person was dead due to short circuit of electricity. Following heavy rains the power supply in certain areas of twin cities was erratic.Cyclists and motor-cyclists are the worst hit commuters on the roads while the office-goers had had a harrowing time in reaching their offices.
