Mayor announces an ex-gratia of Rs 1.50 lakh each

 The  Three Persons of  a family, who died in Poosal Basti on Monday  when a house collapsed due to overnight rain were granted an ex-gratia of Rs 1.50 lakh  by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.

GHMC  Mayor, Karthika Reddy  who  visited the spot made  this  announcement. The deceased  family  members are  Vijayalaxmi,  Rohit,  and Rakshit.

Speaking on the occasion,  the  Mayor  said  , we  have identified  800  such age-old  dilapidated houses in the GHMC  limits.  Steps a re being taken to evacuate  them  to safer places.  We  will see to it  that these tragic incidents  will not recur in future, Karthika Reddy added.

As  reported earlier a two storied  building in Poosalbasti area  of a Saidabad  collapsed on Monday  night  by  10.30  p.m. On hearing the  news City police Commissioner A  K Khan and  GHMC  officials  reached the  spot  and carried out the rescue operations.
