AP Corona Cases, Theaters Shutdown Benchmark!

Andhra Pradesh reported 497 fresh infections after which the state tally jumped beyond 10,000, making it the tenth state in the country with over 10,000 Covid-19 cases after Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Haryana.

While it took close to three months from March for the first 5,000 Covid-19 cases to emerge in the state, the second 5,000 came in just 15 days.

With India reporting 465 deaths and 1,59,68 fresh cases in the last 24 hrs, the total number of COVID-19 infections on Wednesday crossed the 4.5 lakh-mark to reach 4,56,183 including 14,476 casualties, 1,83,022 active cases and 2,58,685 people who have been treated and discharged.

On the other hand, 100 days have been completed since film theaters in India are shut down due to Corona virus outbreak. Going by the current situation, it looks like theaters will remain closed for at least another 100 days.
