Special Court for Economic Offences, Hyderabad on Friday posted the hearing of the case filed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) against B Ramalinga Raju and 10 others in the multi-crore Satyam Computers fraud to March 31.
The accused sought the Court's permission to file Special Vakalatnama under Section 205 of Cr.PC (dispensing with personal attendance of the accused). The court ordered all the accused to appear before the court on March 31.
The SFIO, which filed seven complaints against 11 directors in the multi-crore Satyam accounting fraud case at the Special Court for Economic Offences in December last year, has been investigating the role of the accused in the scam.
Meanwhile, the doctors of Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences treating Ramalinga Raju, submitted to the Special Court in Nampalli that it was not possible to produce Ramalinga Raju before the court at least four weeks from now on (that is not before April 27). According to the report, Raju is suffering from hepatitis and if he is exposed, the disease will get aggravated.
