Kondagattu Accident: 34 Dead

At least 34 died and 28 were injured as TSRTC bus fell off the Ghat road near Kondagattu in Jagityal district of Telangana today noon. The health department got some private doctors to the spot to render first aid to the injured.

Senior officials have rushed to the spot and the bodies are being retrieved from the valley. Rescue workers are rushing the injured to nearby hospitals.

The bus belonging to Jagtyal depot was on the way to Kondagattu carrying 62 pilgrims, when the mishap occurred. Kondagattu Hanuman temple is a popular pilgrim centre draws huge crowd on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

As per reports, the bus overturned 4 times, before it fell into the valley. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed grief over the incident. He directed officials to offer better treatment to the injured.
