The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (Ttd) administration will shortly take steps to ease hardships to old and disabled pilgrims at the famous Lord Venkateshwara temple.
According to the Ttd executive officer IYR Krishna Rao, the temple authorities will shortly introduce golf-carts to ferry physically challenged pilgrims from the Rambhageeja cottage to the temple entrance.
Pilgrims often donate wheelchairs and other items of public convenience, apart from gold and cash to the temple each year, but complaints from pilgrims about the hardships they face remain.
Introduction of the golf-carts will go a long way to ease the hardships of senior citizens who would like to have a darshan here, said Mr Krishna Rao.
