Ayesha case: Court to examine 49 witnesses

Vijayawada, Aug 10 :-

  The Vijayawada Women’s Sessions Court on Monday took up the sensational rape and murder of the 19-year-old B Pharm student Ayesha Meera.

Ayesha Meera was found dead at the women’s hostel in Ibrahimpatnam of Vijaywada, on December 27, 2007.

The court recorded the statements of Ayesha’s mother Shumsheed Begum. “We did not lodge any  complaint with the police. It is clearly a conspiracy, where every attempt was made by the police to wipe out evidence,” she alleged.

The court will examine 49 witnesses till September 9 before passing the final verdict
