1,100 jr lecturers to be recruited soon: Minister

Hyderabad, Feb 9: Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Tuesday directed the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission to recruit junior lecturers immediately.According to Primary Education Minister Manikya Vara Prasad, the Chief Minister has agreed to order recruitment for 1,100 junior college lecturers.Talking to reporters after a review meeting presided over by the Chief Minister to discuss the issues connected with Higher Education Council, the Minister said the government would take a decision on the inter-district transfer of teachers and their spouses by Tuesday evening.

The Minister said the Chief Minister had asked the Finance Department to clear the file for recruiting 1,154 school assistant posts in the state.He said the Chief Minister also directed the Higher Education department officials to take steps to recruit another 2,000 junior lecturers.He said the government will take the advice of legal experts in filling up of Secondary Grade Teacher posts.
