Hyderabad, Feb 4: The ongoing irrigation projects at various stages under the Jalayagnam would be completed by this December, 2010, promised Municipal Administration Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy here.Addressing newspersons here on Thursday the Minister said the existing vacancies of teachers in all municipal schools would be filled soon.
The department is making efforts to complete all projects by April to mitigate the drinking water problem in the city.The Jalayagnam programme was a dream project of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who set a target of irrigating 73 lakh acres in five years and to provide drinking water to all areas in the state.
