1) Weavers organising a rally to mark World Handloom Day from Necklace  Road in Hyderabad on Friday. Actress Raja led the rally.

2) Smt J Geeta Reddy, Minister for Information & Tourism, releasing a rare ancient copper plate inscription at Secretariat on Friday.

3) Mr  V Sridhar, Chairman, Central Board of Excise and Customs, addressing a gathering on 'Tax Law Research Group and Tax India online'  in Hyderabad on Friday. Mr S S Khan, member Central  Excise Custom Board  is also seen.

4)Professor K C Reddy, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, releasing a book authored by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's daughter Professor Upinder Singh 'A History of Ancient and Early Medieval India from the stone age to the 12th Century'  at Osmania University, Hyderabad on Friday. Prof T Tirupathi Rao is also seen.

5) Panicked with the scare of swine flu cases in the city, scores of people were queuing up at the AP Chest Hospital, the nodal centre for detecting and treating swine flu cases. People are brining their school-going children also for the checkup. But most of those who came there were turned away as they did not show symptoms of swine flu. Several big schools in the city, including those in Jubilee Hills area, declared a holiday and sent away the children to their homes.
