Protests against scribes’ arrests

Hyderabad, Jan 9: Raising slogans against the Government for booking cases against two senior journalists of the Telugu television channel TV-5, journalists formed a human chain at the busy RTC Crossroads on Saturday. The half-hour protest was organised by Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists’ Federation.

APWJF general secretary G Anjaneyulu termed the cases as ‘improper’ and said working journalists were not responsible for the broadcast of ‘fake’ stories as they were employees of media houses.He said the two senior journalists were being made scapegoats, since journalists work according to the editorial policy of the managements.
