SV Prasad to replace Ramakanth

Hyderabad,Dec 29: Sv Prasad, Chief Commissioner,Land Acquisitions,in the Revenue Department was appointed Chief  Secretary to the  Government of Andhra Pradesh.According to sources, Prasad’s appointment has been finalized on Tuesday.However,the official orders are likely to be issued on Wednesday.Present Chief Secretary Ramakanth Reddy, who is on a three-month extension, will relinquish office on Dec 31.

In fact, Ramakanth Reddy was supposed to step down on October 1 but in view of the political uncertainty in the state, his term was extended by three months.Sv Prasad, an engineering graduate who completed his masters degree in business administration from IIM, Ahmedabad. belongs to the 1975 An IAS officer of the 1975 batch, Prasad has served as Special Secretary to former chief ministers K Vijayabhaskar Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu.
