Bandh in Mahboobnagar district

Mahboobnagar,Dec 26: A bandh was observed in Mahboobnagar  district on Monday protesting against the attack on Telugu Desam MLA Nagam Janardhana Reddy at the Osmania university  campus on Thursday.The bandh was total and peaceful.The protesters squatted in front of the RTC bus depots in Mahboobnagar district disrupting the bus services.The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation cancelled all its services in the district.In Gadwal,the TDP activists stage `rasta roko’ disrupting the vehicular traffic on the road.

As reported earlier Nagam Janardhan Reddy was on Thursday attacked by irate students when he visited Osmania University to express his support to them on the Telangana statehood issue.Mobbed by the students, Nagam collapsed and was rushed by his aides to a nearby hospital on a motorbike.The protesters stoned, turned upside down and badly damaged the cars in which Nagam, another TDP MLA E Dayakar Rao and their supporters had come to the university.
