Andhra,R'seema MLAs to withdraw resignations

Hyderabad,Dec 24: Congress Members of the Legislative Assembly from Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema regions have decided to withdraw their resignations, after Union Home Minister P Chidambaram said on Wednesday night that a consensus will have to emerge on the Telangana issue and called for wide ranging consultations.The MLAs expressed satisfaction over the statement, saying their views on the issue will be considered.

Government Whip S Sailajanath said, "We wanted our views to be considered. So we have decided to withdraw our resignations." Sailajanath was quick to point out that the Centre’s statement cannot be termed as victory or defeat for any one side, echoing Chief Minister K Rosaiah on the subject.He termed the statement as part of the democratic process, which will take into account all views and opinions.
