9 pilgrims killed in road mishap

Mahabubnagar,Dec 18: At least nine pilgrims died and two others were injured in a mishap after a Tata Sumo they were aboard was hit by a lorry near Tuljapur in Maharashtra on Friday.According to the police, the mishap occurred when a Tata Sumo carrying the pilgrims from Mahabubnagar collided with a lorry.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.The victims belonging to Amarachinta in Mahabubnagar district were on a pilgrimage to Shirdi. The police have shifted the bodies to Mahabubnagar Hospital for post-mortem.The seriously injured were rushed to hospital.Their condition is stated to be critical,hospital sources said.Police have registered a case.
