&nbsp;Acclaimed director Gunasekhar, known for his unique storytelling, visual style, and filmmaking approach, has consistently impressed Telugu audiences with films such as Okkadu and Choodalani Vundi. Recently, he directed the new-age film Euphoria, which received an excellent response. Ahead of his birthday on June 2nd, Gunasekhar spoke to the media about his cinematic journey and several aspects of his career. How do you feel about the response to ‘Euphoria’? Among all the films I have made in my career, Euphoria stands apart. I have seen many social media comments asking me to make more films like this. Several analytical reviews of the movie have received millions of views. The film is getting a fantastic response on ETV Win and aha. It is also available on a rental basis on Amazon, where it is trending at the top. Many people have messaged me saying they missed it in theatres and asking for forgiveness. Honestly, this film has given me a new burst of energy. I usually do not hold press meets on my birthdays, but the energy Euphoria has given me made me want to interact with the media this time. People did not come to theatres in large numbers. Does that mean the promotions were inadequate? The fact that I was also the producer may have been a disadvantage. I feel I failed from a marketing perspective. I know how to make films, but reaching audiences is an art in itself, and I could not succeed in that area. Going forward, I will not produce films entirely on my own. I will collaborate with others, especially when it comes to marketing. What kind of homework do you do to stay connected with current trends? I read five or six newspapers every day. Newspapers help me understand what is happening in society. There are numerous stories about crimes involving minors, both as victims and perpetrators. Most people simply read such reports and move on, but I drew inspiration from those realities and made Euphoria. In fact, this is the kind of film that the government should purchase and screen for free. It is a film that families should watch together because it creates awareness. Harsh realities need to be shown and discussed. What is your opinion on the kind of stories being made today? We need to stop writing stories for heroes. First, we should write the story and then find the right hero for it. I have personally suffered because of doing it the other way around. When we build stories around a hero simply because their dates are available, we end up trapped in a formula. Earlier, films often ended once the criminal was punished. But I wanted to show what happens after that - how a person who has been punished lives in society and deals with guilt. That is why I focused on guilt and its consequences in Euphoria. When did you realize that heroes should emerge from the story rather than stories being written for heroes? Every director has that thought from the beginning, but circumstances do not always allow it. After Choodalani Vundi with Chiranjeevi, I made Manoharam. I already had the story of Manoharam and wanted to tell it, so I made it. To me, my stories and the characters within them are the real superstars. Our way of thinking also needs to change. Everyone should first focus on whether the story is good. What kind of story have you written now? The energy I received from Euphoria inspired me to write another story. It is a strong story that would suit a particular hero. The hero should support the story not the other way around. I will no longer write stories merely to accommodate heroism or grand sets. I wrote Okkadu as a story first, and only later did it suit Mahesh Babu. If I had written it specifically for Mahesh Babu, it might have turned into another Sainikudu. How has ‘Euphoria’ affected you financially? I suffered some financial losses because of Euphoria. It is actually not the kind of film that should have lost money. I trusted certain people and waited until the last minute for them, which also contributed to the losses. Do you want your daughters to become directors? My daughters belong to Gen Z. Convincing them is not easy. The energy I got from Euphoria has already led me to write four new stories. One of those projects will be directed by an outside filmmaker and produced by my daughters. When will ‘Euphoria’ be available in other languages on OTT? There is strong demand from Hindi-speaking audiences. The Tamil version is already ready. Both the Hindi and Tamil versions will be released soon. Many people assumed the film would come to Netflix. It is a universal concept. However, before taking it pan-India, I first needed to market it properly in Telugu, and I could not do that effectively. Will you continue making films regularly from now on? After Rudhramadevi, I spent eight years on Hiranyakashyapa. During that gap, many films were made based on ideas and concepts I had wanted to explore. That is why I have now decided not to waste any more time. I will prepare complete bound scripts and present them directly to heroes and producers. In fact, I had already written the story of Choodalani Vundi while working on Ramayanam. Will the ‘Hiranyakashyapa’ project happen? Not in its original form. We had planned to make Hiranyakashyapa with Fox Star Studios, and three to four years went into pre-production. Then the pandemic happened. After that, Disney acquired the company. The new team was not willing to invest ₹300 crore in the project. Mythological stories do not have exclusive rights, and I was worried someone else might make it first. As expected, Mahavatar Narasimha was released and became a blockbuster across India in animation format. How did Trivikram’s name become associated with ‘Hiranyakashyapa’? When Rana and I first conceived the project, Trivikram himself called and said he would write the dialogues. Later, the project did not move forward. He remained attached only as a writer. Subsequently, an announcement about the project came from Rana. I was concerned that my visual concepts might be getting used, so I shared my worries with a few people. Trivikram then called me and explained everything. I had already visualized the project in a style similar to Mahavatar Narasimha, and I feared that visualization might be used elsewhere. What project are you currently working on? I currently have four stories ready. I plan to collaborate with a reputed production house. One script has already reached the draft stage and would perfectly suit a particular hero. I intend to narrate it to him. It is a very hard-hitting story. I felt an intense urge to make this film immediately. I am not interested in adding songs or fights just for the sake of it. I also have a period drama that requires a huge budget. When the right production company and the right opportunity come along, I will move forward with that project.

New Delhi,Dec 18: The Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die on Friday after noisy scenes as members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Congress clashed over the issue of separate statehood for Telangana among other things.As soon as the Question Hour began,Telugu Desam members, supporting a united Andhra Pradesh, trooped into the podium of Speaker Meira Kumar carrying placards that read &lsquo;&lsquo;We want United Andhra&rsquo;&rsquo; after she completed obituary references to four former MPs.However,Congress leaders representing Telengana, in relatiation to the TDP members, shouted"Jai Telangana" slogans and also rushed to the Speaker's podium.
What was visible in the House in the day was a division of opinion among the Congress leaders with one section supporting united Andhra Pradesh while the other was favouring Telangana.Just in time, Law Minister and Andhra Pradesh affairs incharge Veerappa Moily and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal were seen requesting the agitated MPs to get back to their respective seats. The pro-Telangana Congress MPs were restrained by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and later by Deputy Parliamentary Affairs Minister V Narayanasamy.When Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee stood up to answer during Question Hour on questions concerning his ministry, the volume of the din increased and nothing was audible.Meanwhile,the situation became clumsy as S K Biswamuthiary &nbsp;of Bodoland People&rsquo;s Forum, joined TDP members in the well demanding separate Bodoland.In her inability to prolong the House proceedings any longer, the Speaker adjourned the house at 11.20 a.m till noon.The uproar for and against Telangana continued even after the House reassembled at noon for Zero Hour.The Speaker asked ministers and members to continue with the business as per agenda.However, her orders had little impact when she finally declared the house adjourned sine die at 12.20 p.m.

He with &nbsp;his towering personality made his presence felt. Ravi Teja Nannimala impressed with his comic timing and hilarious acts as a innocent SI. Get Up Srinu got good role of the constable and it turned out to be the highlight in the series.The scenes featuring Get Up Srinu and Ravi Teja Nannimala entertained with subtle humour. Kiriti Damaraju and Ritu Chowdhary's characters come with interesting and exciting twists. Charan Lakkaraju, Siri Parvathi and others performed according to their roles.Memu Copulam Technicians ReviewMemu Copulam story is penned by Pradeep Maddali. He managed to entertain viewers balancing and blending both humour and suspense in a perfect manner. Sobhan Chittiprolu apart from readying the story even came up with impressive screenplay along with Chanakya Varma and Gopalakrishna Vidmahela. Sobhan did full justice to all the departments he handled.Pradeep Maddali highlighted how people of Godavari districts take rooster fights as a prestige issue and how few anti social elements take advantage of the gambling. He ensured that the narration doesnot turn into completely serious tone but told in a entertaining manner.The webseries has six episodes and the first episode starts with the introduction of lead actors and the missing of the rooster. The nnarration takes entertaining route with the investigation. All the investigation, scene recreation and others have been written in a funny manner.However, some scenes got repeated and this slowed the pace of the narration, diluting the tempo. Some scenes looked forced and some are not brought to the logical conclusion. One gets a feeling that there could have been few thrillinng scenes while revealing the antagonist. While the first two episodes are hilarious and is narrated at a fast pace, the third episode slows the proceedings.Fourth episode turns the story interesting before the &nbsp;runup to the climax.The music of Saket Komanduri is pleasant ad appealing. He ensured that the BGM is in sync with the story and not loud. Kishore Boidapu with his cinematography showed the beauty of Godavari districts in a visually natural and realistic maner. Pradeep Maddali came up with a decent story and by tactfully blending the suspense elements and giving it a hilarious touch, managed to attract all. The screennplay turned out to be just ok and it could have been more interestinng and direction is good and script is decent. Except for few lags here and there, Pradeep Maddali did justice to the story. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1.75 rating for Memu Coplam.

The film's OTT deal is yet to be finalised and it will be announced at a later date.Trikala - Script of God Movie: Story ReviewTrikala - Script of God story revolves around how the doings in the past life by the ancestors impact the life of a person at present and the consequences faced by them, Siva (Master Mahendran), while in search of the missing girl Nidhi (Sahiti), happens to meet Vaitharan (Ajay) through a call.This leads to startling and sensational developments and how it is connected to psychiatrist Dr. Maya (Shraddha Das) and who is Trikala Varma form the crux of the story.Trikala - Script of God Movie: Artists ReviewAjay came up with a solid performance in the role. He showed good emotions and variations in expressions and made his presence felt. Master Mahendra showed good expressions highlighting the innocence. Shraddha Das came up with a subtle performance. Tanikella Bharani came up with good performance. Aamani showed her experience in the role of the mother.Others like Sahithi Avancha, Nandha Durairaj, Sai Dheena, Robo Shankar, Rowdy Rohini, ETV Prabhakar, Ambati Arjun, Spyder Sanjay, Kalloori Vinoth performed according to their roles.Trikala - Script of God: Technicians ReviewTrikala - Script of God story is penned by Mani Tellaguti. He came up with an interesting concept but while trying to narrate it on the screen, he ended up confusing the viewers. More than the story he concentrated on VFX and at times used AI to generate the required VFX. The backstory and Trikala generates interest at the start but right after that he ends up confusing with non linear screenplay.The first half has been dragged to the core and the slow pace impacted the output. Though some clarity comes in the second half, it turns out to be routine with psychpath kind of elevations and monotonous scenes. The film lacked the natural feel and everything looks artificial in the end.Pavan Chenna's cinematography is ok. Harshavardhan Rameshwar's music also fall in the same zone. Song on mother is ok. Director Mani Tellaguti himself handled the editing and it turned out to be a huge let down. He should have done away with many unnecessary scenes. He played the role of a loverboy with variations to perfection. He showed good expressions annd emotions according to the situation.Regina Cassandra looked raunchy on screen. She indulged in glamor treat as a foreign returned girl and played the key role in the story. Anupama Parameswaran surprises with her variations. She at the beginning showed the innocent nature and later showed variations accordinly showing the right kind of expressions and emotions. However at times in the deglamor role she overacted herself.Ajay Ghosh played the role of the police and the role is tailormade for him. He elevated the scenes with his performance during the pre climax creating a laughing riot. Others like Thagubotu Ramesh, Anish Kuruvilla performed their roles according to the narration.Mareechika (2026) Movie: Technicians ReviewMareechika Story is penned by Lakshmi Bhupala and it is directed by Satish Kasestty. The story is simple but he tried to turn it into a crime thriller adding delusional elements and also schizophrenia disease symptoms. The entire story revolves around a single point and he tries to excite viewers with confusing screenplay.To some extent he emerged successful but with the passage of time, one gets a feeling that the story is not moving any further. He tried to make up for it with hilarious scene in the police station during the preclimax. The entire first half is dragged with the love scenes featuring the lead pairs. The interval twist sets the tone for the second half. The pace picks up in the second half but the so called twists can be easily predicted.The music for the film is tuned by Ilayaraja. The songs looked like serial songs and offered nothing new. and the background music turned out to be a huge disappointment. One cannot believe that Ilayaraja scored the music for the film. The cinematography of Arvind Kannabiran is good. He showed the scenes in a realistic manner adding aesthetic elements. The editing of Junaid Siddiqui could have been better as there are many repetitive scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Everything turned substandard, be it the predictable twists, performances and to the top of it, the slow pace with unnecessary scenes. The substandard production values harmed the film quality. Screenplay turned out to be decent and little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay along with doing away with unnecessary elements would have added value. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Mareechika.

Where this leads to and what role Antony Varghese (Antony Varghese Pepe) play, form the interesting part.Kattalan (2026) Movie: Artists ReviewAntony Varghese is an unknown entity to Telugu viewers except for those who watch Malayalam films on OTT. He did full justice to his role. But the moment he started delivering dialogues it looks like he is out to complete them at a go for the fear of forgetting the same.Sunil played the important role in the film. Sunil's role offered nothing new and had shades of Pushpa and the roles he played there after. Much to the surprise of all, he also gets a special song.Kabir Duhan Singh played an inconsequential role. One of the villian Parth Tiwari looks funny when he delivers dialogues. Everything looks senseless and mindless and one gets a feeling that he has taken movie lovers for granted insulting their IQ levels.The background music is scored by Ravi Basrur. He just followed the same template he used for KGF, Salaar and others. He looked slim and fit and his physique becomes the talking point. She deviated from her known glamor roles and performed well as a brave daughter who doesn't tolerate any injustice to anyone. She enacted high octane stunts with ease. Abhirami Gopikumar performed well as a mother who has concerns for her daughter's safety and future plans, marriage etc and the twist that comes with her role surprises all.Arun Chidambaram looked stylish in the role of a villain. Others like John Kokken performed according to their roles.Blast Zone (2026) Movie: Technicians ReviewBlast Zone story is penned by Subash K Raj. He came up with a simple story of how a family tries to protect themselves when on attack from dreaded gangsters. Many such films came earlier but Subhash K Raj narrated it in a different manner trying to send message to the society.He showed father training his daughter to be brave and not to tolerate any injustice not only to the family but others in the society despite mother expressing her own fears. He also highlighted the importance of martial arts and how it will be helpful as a self defence system.He started the narration in &nbsp;a gripping manner and then the narration and screenplay turns racy throughout the first half. The first half ends in a decent manner setting the stage for the second half. The second half also treads in a similar manner but pace dips at times and due to few repetitive and dragged scenes. The climax too turns out to be weak.Arun Radhakrishnan's cinematography is good. He used the camera angles and color combinations to perfection do give a natural and realistic feel. Ravi Basrur's background music is impactful and added value to the narration. The editing of Pradeep E Ragav is decent enough except for few drags here and there and repetitive scenes. Dialogues are thoughprovoking, inspirational and motivational. Aadya however, goes desperately in search of her soulmate and on the advice of her friend Janhvi (Gayatri Gupta) takes a shocking decison and in the process happen to meet Aadi (Akhil Sarthak). here this leads to what role her grandmother (Annapurna), journalist (Mime Gopi) , Naval Officer (Ajay Ratnam) and what role (Saurabh Dhingra) play, and the connection to the futuristic world form the rest of the narration.First Time (2026) Movie: Artists ReviewMost of the actors are newcomers and they worked hard to make an impression. Saurabh Dhingra made his debut with his debut and he is ok. Anicka Vikramann tried her best to attract with her emotions. Mime Gopi is good in a small role as a journalist. The new comers have a long way to go to make it to the next level and they should hone their skills before dreaming big.Others like Shiva, Bhuoopal Raju, Gayatri Gupta, Annapurnamma, Ajay Ratnam, Dhee Pandu are ok in their roles.First Time (2026) Movie: Technicians ReviewFirst Time story is written by Hemanth Ippalapalli. He tried to come up with an interesting story in the backdrop of futuristic world and sci fi elements. While the idea is good, he failed to execute it in a perfect manner on the screen. He lacked clarity of thought and the scenes and screenplay ends up confusing viewers.The slow pace in the narration, repetitive scenes irritates viewers to the core. People are left to wonder about the usage of CGI and VFX and this resulted as the story lacked strong human emotions. The actors are just seen passing through the motions with artificial feel.Except for the so called sci fi elements, futuristic world, VFX and CGI, the film's story turned out to be monotonous, routine and outdated.Sri Venkat &amp; Sooraj S Kurup's music and background score is just ok. Cinematography of Venu Muralidhar &amp; Ram turned the film rich with attractive visuals. The editing of Hemanth Ippalapalli left a lot to be desired. There are many scenes that dragged the narration testing the patience of the viewers. VFX and CGI are good. The story turned out to be weak with many loopholes and following this screenplay and direction went for a toss. No amount of rework on the script would have changed the output or the final result. What is the shock and what role her uncle (Sivaji Raja) played form the rest of the narration.Ugly Story (2026) Movie: Artists ReviewNandu came up with terrific performance on the screen in the role of a psycho. Infact he virtually lived in the role and maintained the intensity carrying the film on his shoulders. He came up with natural and realistic performance and made an impact with his dialogue delivery, mannerisms, emotions and expressions.Avika Gor performed well in the role of a helpless girl and she showed the fear in her eyes and expressions. She emoted well and made viewers feel for her. Raviteja Mahadhasyam played the role of the lover as per the characterisation.Sivaji Raja played the role of a typical father quite well. Pragya Nayan played a small role of an inspector. Others performed according to their roles.Ugly Story (2026) Movie: Technicians ReviewUgly Story is written by Pranava Swaroop. He tried to elevate the role of a psycho who is obsessed even after the girl is married and the consequences in the aftermath of it. &nbsp;He told the story from the viewpoint and the angle of a psychopath and this may not appeal to all.There are many scenes that may be uncomfortable for the viewers to watch, the violence and torture being one of them. He highlighted the darker side of the happenings in the lives of many women as many find it difficult to come forward and talk openly in public.The story offered nothing much but Pranav Swaroop penned the story highlighting the characterisation of pyschopath and it may appeal only to few.Shrie Saikumaar Daara with his cinematography gave a natural and realistic feel to the proceedings. He showed the locations using the camera angles in an apt manner. The background score of Shravan Bharadwaj elevated the scenes taking the intensity to new heights. The RR is quite good. Editing of Mithun Soma, Srikanth Patnaik. R could have been better. The entire first half is loaded with the fights between husband and wife and the happenings between the friends and court scenes. All those things are routine and few hilarious scenes are just ok though they are nothing new.The first half ends with the revelation of the secrets of the protagonists and the entire second half is all about them proving their innocence. The director failed to connect the emotional chords and failed to establish how a small incidents lead to divorce. Few emotions are ok but the super heroes fights looked silly and didnot workout. He tried to load the second half with intense emotions but failed to do full justice to them.He ended few roles abruptly and didnot justify few characters in the film. Climax twist is decent &nbsp;to some extent.Satish Muthyala's cinematography is good. Shrawan Bharadwaj's music is just ok and so is the background music. Editing of Koti left a lot to be desired. There are many unnecessary scenes that impacted the final output. But the routine shades and slow pace ended up testing the patience of the viewers. The entire second half is loaded with emotional content. The twist in the pre climax is good and the climax turns out to be emotional.There are many unnecessary scenes that defies logic and also the conflict is not shown in &nbsp;a convincing manner. The relationship and connection to four kids and the granny is not shown properly.Aravind Thirukovela with his cinematography turned the scenes colorful and visually appealing on the screen. Sooraj S Kurup's songs are just average. He however made up for it with his background music adding value to the narration. Ram Jagadeesh's dialogues are relevant, interesting and motivational. Editing of Raviteja Giriala left a lot to be desired. Though the film's duration is less, the editing made it feel like the film is never ending. He continues from where he left in Drishyam 2 and the narration progresses in the same vein. He starts the narration in an interesting manner increasing the curiosity levels highlighting the fears of the protagonist in the wake of the recent developments which got him unwanted media attention.He also showed the emotional situation and trauma of the female cop who experiences shock of her son's death and how to deal ith them. He slowly corelates both the incidents and developments and showed the media trail and social media impact on the protagonist's family. He concentrated on the happenings in Varun's life and tried to surprise viewers.Though Jeethu Joseph tried to highlight the emotional complications and implications and also worked hard to maintain the thrill factor, viewers who watched the first two parts, feel everything is stretched and they could easily guess the next scenes and proceedings. They feel that Jeethu Joseph stretched the narration and the so called thrill factor to a point of no return. The slow pace in the first half tests the patience of the viewers. It is only during the runup to the interval block some sense of urgency is shown and few scenes increase the thrill factor.People expect a more interesting and intriguing second half. However the familiarity of the behavior of the characters robbed viewers of the novel feeling. Everything turns predictable be it the investigation sequences, emotional scenes and the pattern in unraveling the suspense. To the top of it, when viewers expect a shocking climax, the simple climax turns out to be a major disappointment. The way protagonist comes with silly ideas turns out to be a huge disappointment. The Telugu dubbing turned out to be the worst.The editing of Vinayak VS could have been far better. There are many scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. The cinematography of Satheesh Kurup is in sync with the story. He used the camera angles and color combinations to give realistic and natural feel to the proceedings.The music of Anil Johnson is ok and his background score elevated the scenes. For most of the first half, he spent time introducing various characters, establishing their problems and the proceedings in the court and elevate their emotions before introducing Suriya in an interesting and exciting manner. The slow pace tend to put off viewers as the scenes are predictable till the entry of Suriya.The narration picks up pace with the entry of Suriya and the spiritual elements generated curiosity. The conflict attracts all and though the interval block is routine, the first half ends on a decent note. When one expects a better second half, the narration turns cliched and screenplay goes for a toss. The comedy scenes looked outdated and dragged the narration to the next level.The pre climax is good but inspired by films like Kantara and Pushpa but lacked the strong emotions associated with them. RJ.Balaji followed the similar template in Veerabhadrudu which he did in Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman except for few variations.The songs tuned by Sai Abhyankar had Tamil flavor. Mahabubnagar,Dec 18: At least nine pilgrims died and two others were injured in a mishap after a Tata Sumo they were aboard was hit by a lorry near Tuljapur in Maharashtra on Friday.According to the police, the mishap occurred when a Tata Sumo carrying the pilgrims from Mahabubnagar collided with a lorry.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.The victims belonging to Amarachinta in Mahabubnagar district were on a pilgrimage to Shirdi. The police have shifted the bodies to Mahabubnagar Hospital for post-mortem.The seriously injured were rushed to hospital.Their condition is stated to be critical,hospital sources said.Police have registered a case.
