Hyderabad,Dec 14:An employee of G4 Cash Services, 26-year-old P Nagaraju and his accomplices Veeresh and Venkateshwar Rao were arrested by the Central Crime Station South Zone sleuths on Monday.The arrests were part of a joint operation of the CCS South Zone with the East Zone Crime Party members.The arrested persons are alleged to have committed theft of Rs 12,42,988,collected from Electric Revenue Offices (EROs) on September.Nagaraju,in his capacity as a custodian of the cash collected by G4S Cash Services, used to collect the money from EROs and trading centres and deposit the collection in banks.
Nagaraju’s associates needed money since Veeresh was newly-married and Venkateshwar was a kidney patient.Nagaraju himself was addicted to various vices.Nagaraju stole the money collected from the EROs and handed it over to his friends which they shared among themselves. Nagaraju told the police that he was having lunch when the van carrying the money was burgled.The trio were arrested after the surveillance showed that they were indulging in a spending spree.The police were able to recover Rs 6 lakhs, gold jewellery and mobiles phones which they had bought with the loot from the arrested.
