ACB unearths assets worth Rs 3 cr

Nellore,Dec 1: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids on the residences of Ramanaiah,a former Executive Engineer with the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant,and his relatives at Muddanur in Kadapa district, Satyaveedu in Chitoor district and Tada in Nellore district and detected assets to the tune of Rs 3 crore.The ACB officials conducted simultaneous raids on the houses and that of his relatives’ houses in the morning hours.

In the searches that continued till afternoon,the ACB sleuths unearthed assets worth Rs 3 crore.His riches included houses, flats, jewellery,bank balance and other documents.The ACB sleuths conducted raids on Ramanaiah’s house following complaints that he amassed assets disproportionate to the known sources of income.A disproportionate assets case has been registered against him.
