Section 144 on polling day

Hyderabad Nov 20: The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner has issued orders prohibiting the assembling of five or more persons within 200 metres from the polling stations in Hyderabad and Secunderabad under Sections 144 CrPc in view of the elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.The prohibitory orders will be in force on the date of polling ie November 23, 2009 and will be in force from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.The police has also notified the general public that they should form separate queues for male and female voters.
