Hyderabad,Nov 20: The employees of the Singareni  Collieries Company Limited, who have served a strike notice on the management to press for their demands, withdrew their strike plan after the management agreed to resolve 18 demands out of 32,stated All India Trade Union Congress-led (AITUC) workers union on Friday.According to AITUC sources, the Regional Labour Commissioner has agreed to consider 18 of the 32 demands favourably.

As per the deal,the management agreed to pay arrears of 33 months amounting to Rs 520 crore to 70,000 labourers on January 25, 2010.The management also agreed to pay 16 per cent profit-linked bonus to the employees on Nov 25. The papers were signed on Friday by Union leader Sitha Ramaiah who said the Union would not go in for stir beginning Nov 25 as proposed.
