Four killed in various road mishaps

Nellore Nov 10: At least three persons died in a road mishap that took place after two lorries collided near Penna Bridge in Nellore district on Tuesday.According to Police, the three died on the spot as the lorries collided head-on near the Penna bridge.The deceased are yet to be identified.Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. Nellore Police have registered a case.The traffic on the bridge was disrupted for some time following the mishap and the Police found it tough to bring the traffic under control.Fifteen persons sustained injuries in another mishap near Kodiganur in Chagalamarri mandal in Kurnool district on Tuesday.

The condition of three of them is stated to be serious.The mishap occurred when an auto-rickshaw carrying the passengers overturned near Kodiganur causing injuries to all of them.All the injured have been shifted to the Kurnool Government General Hospital.The condition of the three seriously injured was critical,hospital sources said.In another incident,one preson died on the bypass road near Puttur in Chittoor district on Tuesday and two others sustained grievous injuries as two motor-cycles collided.According to Police the mishap occurred due to collision between two bikes causing the death of one rider on the spot.The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.The two seriously injured have been shifted to Puttur Government General Hospital. Their condition is critical,according to the hospital sources.
