Renowned singer Prativadi Bhayankara Srinivas( Pb Srinivas) passed away on 14th April in Chennai. He was 82. He was born on September 22, 1930 in Kakinada of Andhra Pradesh. He is known for his playback singing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries.
Though born as a Telugu man, he got eminence in all the South Indian languages, especially in Kannada film industry. He sang many melodious and evergreen songs in the movies such as, 'Rani Ratnaprabha', 'Sahasrasirascheda Apoorva Chintamani', 'Bangaru Thimmaraju', 'Lethamanasulu', 'Lavakusha', 'Iddaru Mitrulu', 'Srikrishnapandaveeyam' etc. Some of his popular songs are 'OHO GULABIBAALAA( MANCHI MANISHI), 'O NINDU CHANDAMAMA'( BANGARU THIMMARAJU), 'ANDALA O CHILAKA' ( LETHAMANASULU), ADI OKA IDILEY'( PREMINCHI CHOODU) etc. He received 'Kalaimamani' title by the government of Tamil Nadu.
