‘Harassed’ girl student commits suicide

Hyderabad,Oct 29: Threatened by her teacher that she would fail in the pubic examinations, an Ssc Student allegedly hanged herself to death in the cit y on Thursday.Saidabad police said that Ms Vijaya Vani (14), a resident of VK Bhagyanagar in Saidabad locality of the city, was in the tenth standard at the Prince Town Girls High School in the area. One of her teachers, Ms Neeraja, has allegedly told her that she was not performing well in the examinations and that she would finally fail in the public examinations. 

And, this has been reportedly going on for the past few days.Unable to bear the mental agony and the harassment of the teacher, the student on Thursday hanged herself to death in her house. Learning about the incident, the parents of the girl and also the parents of the other students gathered at the school compound and ransacked the furniture.The police who reached the school campus brought the situation under control. A case has been registered against the school management and also against the teacher, Ms Neeraja. Investigation is on.
