Hyderabad,oct 29: The French Minister for Foreign Trade, Ms Anne-Marie Idrac, accompanied by a high-level delegation, comprising parliamentarians and senior officials of the French government had discussions with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah and minister for Industries Kanna Lakshminaryaana here on Thursday.Speaking to the media Knna Laksminarayana said that the French delegation had shown its willingness to establish a car manufacturing unit in the state. The foreign trade minister agreed in principle to set up a French trading centre in Hyderabad.
The delegation which is on a four-day visit to India on Wednesday held talks with the leaders of Andhra Pradesh on various trade aspects. According to the minister for Industries many French industrialists are willing to invest in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The details would be worked out in the days to come.The French Minister for Foreign Trade Ms Anne-Marie Idrac had high-level meetings with several ministers of the Indian government and senior officials, including Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry ,Subodh Kant Sahay, Hon’ble Minister of Food Processing Industries, and Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission .
