Two Bhavani devotees killed in road mishap

Visakhapatnam,Oct 29: At least, two devotees of Goddess Durga were killed on the spot and 15 others sustained grievous injuries in a collision between an lorry and tractor near Veduruvada in Achutapuram in Visakhapatnam district on Thursday.The mishap occurred when the durga devotees are heading towards Vijayawada to have the darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga to mark the beginning of Durga Deeksha on Indrakeeladri.

The identities of two deceased are yet to be ascertained. The seriously injured have been shifted to Kind George Government General Hospital.Some of their condition is stated to be critical, according to the hospital sources. Visakhapatnam police have registered a case.
