Hyderabad,Oct 28: Wooing the city's electorate ahead of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah took a whirlwind tour of the city on Wednesday inaugurating many welfare schemes.The Chief Minister on Wednesday inaugurated a 3.60 million litres reservoir in Santosh Nagar. The reservoir was constructed at a cost of Rs 4.32 crore and will supply drinking water to the people of Santosh Nagar area.
The Chief Minister’s tour in the city is being considered as the ruling party’s ground work for the forthcoming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Notification for polls to the civic body is expected by month end or first week of November.Earlier in the morning the CM laid the foundation stone for JNNURM housing colony at ACS Nagar in East Marredpally, estimated to cost Rs 8.13 crore, and at Bhoiguda in Secunderabad,worth Rs 7.7 crore.
