Hyderabad,Oct 26: The state government on Monday appointed N Chandra Mohan Reddy as Project Director for the Ysr memorial park to be developed in Nallamala reserve forests, where he was died in a chopper crash on September 2.N Chandra Mohan Reddy, is presently working as Officer on Special Duty, Buddha Purnima Project Authority of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA).The government has cleared the proposal to convert 1,412 hectares of Nallamala reserve forest into Ysr memorial park at a cost of Rs 3.15 crore.Under the plan a unique monument in memory of the late chief minister.
Itwill be built at the entrance to the proposed project while a 4.5-km trekking path will be built upto Pavuralagutta, the exact site of the Bell-430 crash.A Nature Interpretation Study Centre would also be set up at the site at a cost of Rs 50 lakh and breeding centres for peacocks, elephants and other animals.Talking to media over the new assignment, Chandra Mohan Reddy said the project would be completed by September 2,2010 at any cost.
