Hyderabad,Oct 16: The state government will make a special act for Tenant Farmers, who lost their crops in the recent floods, to provide all benefits equally along with small and medium farmers, stated Minister for Agriculture M Raghu Veera Reddy.Talking to media persons at the Secretariat on Friday, the Minister said that under the new act, the government would provide subsidized seeds and fertilizers and arrange loans to them through bankers to take up sowing activities.He also directed the district collectors to reschedule loans taken by Tenant Farmers and provide additional loans to buy agriculture tools and implements.

He directed the agriculture officials to estimate the loss and damage to the crops suffered by farmers properly and submit it to the state government for paying compensation.He asked the farmers to cooperate with agriculture officials for estimating the crop loss properly.He said the farmers can utilize the services of agriculture scientists at research stations in raising crops in flood affected districts as the crops may face problem with pests due to changed weather conditions.
