The highly publicized 11.6 km flyover considered to be the longest one in the country is at last fully complete and is ready to be thrown open to the public from Diwali.The flyover will be named after late prime minister Mr P V Narasimha Rao.Minister for municipal administration,Anam Ramnarayan Reddy interacting with the media said "The four-lane divided carriage way is built with state-of-the-art innovative technology.Before finally throwing it open to the public trial are being conducted on the flyover to ensure that it is safe for the vehicular traffic. The fly over will be inaugurated by chief minister K Rosaiah. The flyover connects Hyderabad to Shamashabad airport which is about 30 Km from the city.The flyover which is constructed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority will facilitate free flow of traffic in this route.According to the HMDA sources the actual cost of the flyover is estimated to be Rs 439 crore while Rs 161 crore spent in acquiring lands for shifting of utilities thus mounting it to a whooping amount of Rs 600 crores.
