Minister reviews hostel repair works

Hyderabad,Oct 13 : Minister for Social Welfare Pilli Subhas Chandra Bose, Principal Secretary Nagi Reddy and Commissioner of Social Welfare K Praveen Kumar conducted a conference with Joint Directors, Deputy Directors and District Social Welfare Officers of Social Welfare from all the Districts at DSS Bhavan, Masab Tank,Hyderabad.The damages and repairs to hostel buildings in flood affected areas,the progress of establishment of College Hostels, supply of dresses and other material to Hostels and Post-Matric Scholarships were reviewed in the meeting.The repairs taken up for hostel buildings under ‘Samkshema Baata’ Programme and the implementation of Sc/ST Prevention of Atrocities (POA) Act and Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (ScSP) were also reviewed.
