Participating in a &lsquo;Meet the press&rsquo; programme organized by the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists, at Basheerbagh Press Club, Mr Jashwanth, one of the founder members of the BJP, said that he would never join any party as he lost interest in politics. To keep the party intact, Jaswant Singh said that he opposed the&nbsp; &lsquo;Rath Yatra&rsquo; of L K Advani contending that it would have serious repercussions on the party. He suggested the high command to remove&nbsp; Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, but it was L K Advani, who shielded Narendra Modi during the Gujarat riots in 2002. He blamed the BJP for communal carnage in Gujarat.Justifying his book on Mohammad Ali Jinnah, he asked, ''What is wrong in writing about Jinnah, who had been described by noted freedom fighter Gopalakrishna Gokhale as &lsquo;ambassdor of Hindu-Muslim unity&rsquo; and Jinnah had dominated the Indian political scene for over 40 years along with Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.</p>

When a similar attack occurred killing an officer in the External Affairs Ministry, besides an army man, he had visited Afghanistan,&rdquo;he recalled. Assailing the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government for its &ldquo;non-existent&rdquo; foreign policy, former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh said here the chaotic situation in India&rsquo;s neighbourhood is not in the interest of its security. Referring to the naxalites attack on Laheri police outpost in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, he said insurgency had gripped as many as 200 districts due to half-hearted steps taken by the Centre. Naxalism was not a mere law and order issue to be tackled by deployment of para-military forces, he pointed out. On the unprecedented floods in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, he wanted the authorities concerned to fully examine the causes and initiate steps to avoid such tragedies in future.</p>

<p>&nbsp;The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, on Saturday announced Rs 1,000 crores assistance to Karnataka state to take up flood relief works after undertaking an aerial survey of the rain-ravaged areas in northern districts. The Prime Minister, who flew over the rain battered villages in Belgaum, Gadag, Bijapur and Davanagere along with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, made the announcement at a press conference here. Singh also reviewed relief works initiated by the state government at a meeting attended among others by Yeddyurappa, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily and M Mallikarjun Kharge and state Rural Development Minister Shobha Karandlaje.</p>
<p>He also announced Rs one lakh ex-gratia to each of the families of victims of the unprecedented floods which left 226 people dead and caused large scale devastation. Singh said a Central team would soon be deputed for an on-the-spot assessment of the extent of damage to grant more funds to the state.</p>

<p>Rajhessh performed well in the role of the antagonist Patel and the scenes featuring him and Srinath stands out. Gayathri Ramana made her debut and she performed well in the role of a innocent young girl who also takes a bold stand while choosing her life partner.</p>

<p>He added mass elements and double-meaning dialogues to appeal to B,C centres. He drew inspiration from the films like Ek Mini Katha and others. He took the core point from such kind of films which viewers were treated with earlier and added mass elements to attract.</p>
<p>Few scenes in the first half may appeal to masses but even they cannot sit through all the drinking scenes at the start. The second half turns out to be a patience tester and pre climax turns out to be little decent before the film comes to a happy ending. The story turned out to be routine and predictable and screenplay turned out to be uni dimensional and convenient. Direction followed the familiar traits.</p>

<p>The screenplay is even and uni dimensional for majority of the part. Director tried to come with an investigative thriller, but the so called investigation turns out to be farce. Police are shown as puppets and ACP as a dimwit. Even the race between hero and the villain to go after each other donot excite anyone.</p>
<p>People are witness to such scenes since the olden days and those who expected something new will be completely disappointed. Director missed many logics in the narration and most of the scenes looked silly and even school kids will be laughing instead of getting excited.</p>

After the so called surprise elements, viewers can predict everything and this turned out to be the biggest backdrop.</p>
<p>While the story turned out to be routine and monotonous, even the narration and screenplay turned out to be repetitive making it a tedious watch to the viewers. The first half comes to an end with a predictable twist and when one expects a better second half, it turns out to be a disappointment.</p>
<p>With the surprise element coming out, Varalakshmi started beating around the bush and the preachy dialogues in the pre climax and climax didnot inspire any confidence. <p>Rajeev Kanakala came up with a subtle performance and elevated the scenes with his performance. He showed variations with his expressions and body language according to the situation. He delivered dialogues showing emotions connecting chords with the viewers as a father who loves and is concerned about his daughter's well-being. He showed love towards his daughter, care and fear for her safety and also the pain when she goes missing.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Vasanthika is good in the role of a daughter. She is bubbly when she gets a job and convinces her family members and showed her fear when the situation turns against her.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Udaya Bhanu did the role of a tough cop quite well. She came up with serious expressions and delivered dialogues accordingly. Her body language as a cop is good.&nbsp;</p>

<p>D/O Prasad Rao story is penned by Poluri Krishna. He tried to thrill viewers with a story that has few surprises. However, he ended up coming with a simple story that turned out to be stale. He started the narration in an interesting manner and this increases the curiosity among viewers in the first few episodes. But from then on, everything turns routine and predictable as in their quest to come up with more twists and turns, they instead turned everything silly.</p>
<p>In his quest to come up with more twists, Poluri Krishna failed to come up with strong characters. This inturn impacted his writing leaving a void and the screenplay goes awry though it looks interesting from outside. With the passage of time, the characters turn preachy with the director unable to fathom how to take the story forward and bring it to a logical conclusion.</p>
<p>The cop is introduced as a tough person and has unique investigation techniques but the investigation scenes offer nothing new. They cop is just turned out to be a mere caricature taking orders from the higherups. Finally when the final episodes end, viewers heave a sigh of relief.</p>
<p>The editing of GV. Chandra Sekhar looks unpolished. There are many repetitive scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. He tried to be smart to turn it decent but overall came up with a haphazard output. Sriram gave the background score for the plot. Sriram in his quest to elevate the scenes, came up with a loud score instead of adding finess to the narration. This inturn turned everything into over the top when it is not required. The cinematography of K.Mahesh Kumar is in sync with the story. He didnot try anything extraordinary and did what was required for the story sticking to the basics. Production values are just ok.</p>

<p>Bookie story revolves around a young couple who witness turbulence in their relationship and how they deal with them. Kailash (Ajay Dishan) and Aazhi (Dhanusha) suddenly experience their relationship hit the rock after few years and this lands them in a situation as to whether to continue with the relation or move forward parting ways.</p>
<p>How they react and what decision they take and what role Kailash's father (Pandiarajan) and others played form rest of the narration.</p>

<p>Ajay Dishan came up with a natural and realistic performance. He emoted and expressed well delivering dialogues with ease and giving a relatable feeling to the viewers. Dhanusha performed well as per the situation and did justice to her role. However at times, her role looked exaggerated due to the chracterisation.</p>

<p>Bookie story is penned by Puthiya Parthi and is helmed by Ganesh Chandra. He tried to entertain youngsters with a Gen Z story and used many Gen Z lingos to connect chords with them. But in the process he failed to realise that one cannot differentiate between Romance categorising it into Gen Z or Older generation.</p>
<p>He tried to highlight the purity in love in the older genderation compared to that of immoral values of gen z relationships but sperations and parting of ways have been prevalent in the society since longtime. The screenplay is linear and treads in a predictable fashion and in the end however failed to justify the reunison of the leadpair.</p>
<p>The film lacked the emotions and everything turns artificial as the director stayed away from the ground reality. He spent the entire first half on how the lead pair deal with the breakup and here he tried to impresses Gen Z with jargons like binge watching, stress shopping and stress eating. But he failed to live in the reality. Both the lead pair characters turned out to be artificial bereft of any emotions. Much to the disappointment of all, the so called interval bang fell flat.</p>
<p>He passed most of the time and the second half with flashbacks. Instead of increasing the interest levels, these turned out to be patient testers. Ganesh Chandra's writing turned out to be lazy and he thought it was casual and interesting. Sadly, he failed to understand the meaning and thought process of Gen Z and he confined himself to use it as jargons.</p>
<p>The music for the film is tuned by Vijay Antony. Though songs didnot make much impact, he added value to the narration with his background music. Ganesh Chandra himself handled the cinematography and he captured the visuals in an appealing and beautiful manner. The editing of Vijay Antony could have been far better as there are scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Dialogues are ok. Production values are fine.</p>

<p>Suhas asusual did justice to his role. The role is tailormade for him and it has the blend of romance, youthful exuberance, humour and emotions associated with it. <p>Shivani Nagaram looked decent on the screen. She performed well according to her role. She didnot get much scope to showcase her acting talent and variations in it but carried the little hearts vibes into the film. She impressed with his dialogue delivery.</p>

<p>Seeing the film, one understands why Censor Board asked the makers to change the film's title from Hey Bhagawan to Hey Balwanth. The story penned by Gopi Atchara offered nothing new and he came up with a mix of previous hits from various languages. At times the so called entertaining and emotional scenes looked illogical.</p>
<p>Mahi Reddy Pandugula's cinematography is in sync with the story. He showed the scenes in a natural and at the same time colorful as and when required. Viplav Nyshadham's editing is ok but could have been better as there are few repetitive elements that dragged the pace of the narration. The music of Vivek Sagar is ok. The songs looked forced and one could have done away with them as they didnot add much value to the proceedings. His background score is as per the story. Dialogues are hilarious and at times emotional. But many are loaded with double meaning. Production values are decent.</p>

It is known that Arjun launched the film with Vishwak Sen in the lead and Pawann Kalyan graced the launch as a special guest. However, Vishwak Sen opted out of the project and Arjun roped in Sandalwood star Upendra's nephew Niranjan in the lead role. Coincidentally both Vishwak Sen's Funky and Arjun's Seetha Payanam released on the same date.</p>
<p>Seetha Payanam story is nothing new but Arjun tried to highlight the love, marriage, family bonding and other relationships that play key role. To the top of it, he also touched upon the cow protection. For all his efforts he became preachy most of the times. He starts the narration in a routine and simple manner before the road trip which increases curiosity levels. The developments later makes viewers to sit up and watch.</p>
<p>But from the moment heroine decides to thank everyone, the pace dips down considerably and the routine and preachy scenes ends up testing the patience of the viewers. Here Arjun deviated from the main topic and went on to touch topics like cow protection etc. Only during the climax, once again the family emotions connect chords with the viewers.</p>
<p>Anup Rubens came up with foot tapping and melodious tunes. The songs are situational and shot in colourful backdrop. Cinematography of G.Balamurugan beautified the scenes turning the scenes colourful. He captured the scenic locations in a visually appealing manner. Ayoob Khan's editing left a lot to be desired. He showed the pain and grief of an unemployed youth and also showed variations in the role of a younger on love and as a person who goes all out for his lover to see her happy all the time and give her the best and memorable moments.</p>
<p>Manasa Varanasi impresses with her performance as a young girl who has her own dreams much against with wishes of her parents and how she goes out to realise them. She showed youthful exuberance and also came up with good emotions and expressions.</p>
<p>Both of them delivered dialogues and emoted well according to the situation showing variations and elevating the scenes.</p>
<p>Goparaju Ramana performed well in the role of the hero's father. Rajeev Kanakala made his presence as heroine's father. <p>The second half takes a serious note and emotions are highlighted to the core, However this dragged the pace of the narration. The pre climax and climax though different in the current context however is stretched to a point.</p>
<p>Though one gets a feeling that everything is predictable in this so called love story, few emotional scenes pierce the hearts.</p>
<p>Aditya Ravindran's background music added soul to the narration and it took viewers into the story. Songs are melodious and situational. The cinematography of Dinesh Purushottaman showed Chennai city in a beautiful manner. The Gorilla shoot in Chennai locations gave a new feel and beautified the scenes on the screen.</p>
<p>Ganesh Siva's editing is ok but could have been better in the second half. Few dialogues are good and thought provoking. Production values are good.</p>

The stampede took place during distribution of food packets at the relief camp. One person is said to be injured serious in the stampede. He was shifted to the hospital. According to hospital sources, he was out of danger. The police lathi charged on flood victims to maintain law and order in the relief camp.</p>
<p>The victims in the relief camp complained that they were not getting relief materials properly and blamed the officials for their callous attitude in providing relief to flood victims.</p>
