Hyderabad, Oct 7 :
The Chief Minister K Rosaiah will lay foundation stone for a coal-based 600 MW power plant to be set up by the Singareni Collieries at Jaipur village near Mancherial&nbsp; in Adilabad District at the earliest.
Mr S Narsing Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries, informed the Chief Minister that everything is ready to launch the project and land to the tune of 1900 acres has already been acquired. The total estimated cost of the Project is Rs. 2700 crores. Coal reserves from an abandoned underground mine is also tied up for the Project. He said a Power Purchase Agreement with AP Transco will also be signed in this regard.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Meanwhile the Chief Minister appreciated the performance of the Singareni Collieries.&nbsp; He was assured by the Singareni MD that the Singareni Collieries will not allow Genco to suffer for want of coal. &ldquo;It is our responsibility to meet the requirements of AP Genco. We have not allowed AP Genco to suffer for want of coal,&rdquo; he said
The Singareni MD informed the Chief Minister that there are a total reserves of 9384.33 MT of coal in the SCCL fields at Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts, The turnover of the Company as on March 31 is Rs.6396&nbsp; crores and human assets are 70,586. The SCCL is the largest and only coal producer in the South India. It produces 9% of total coal from 7% of total reserves in the country. 73% of the 32 MT dispatched to 9 power houses in 4 States and it has the locational advantages with lesser transportation costs. It has the healthy product mix of underground and opencast coal ensures prudent and concervative exploitation of a scarce resource. The net profit of the company during 2008-09 was Rs. 132 crores.&nbsp;
The Singareni Collieries Company paid Rs. 780.8 crores during 2008-09 to the State Government towards royalty and VAT etc.
The Company also paid Rs.382 crores to Government of India during 2008-09 as Income Tax, excise duty etc. Easing pressure on natural resources, the company is using steel and hadraulic supports in underground in lieu of timber. The specific energy consumption of SCCL has come down from 24.93 (1998-99) to 13.93 (2008-09). The Chief Minister was explained that 60% of pumped mine water is reused for internal consumption and balance is let out for agriculture. Special Chief Secretary, Energy, A K Goel and other officials also attended the meeting.

Though the story is routine and screenplay also turned out predictable, the emotions he included in the film added value to the narration.He shows the relations and the emotions in a different manner trying to be creative to some extent. The first half highlighted the connection between the lead pair before showing the flashback. While the first half has youthful and entertaining elements apart from few emotional sequences, the second half is loaded with powerful emotions and dialogues. Finally the film comes to a decent ending with the message to the genex viewers to move on from the past relationships.Siddhu Kumar's songs are situational and impressive. The tunes connect chords with the viewers. He added value to the narration with his background music. He with his background music added more power to the soul of the film. Right from the start he did not deviate from the main plot. He established the premise in the starting scene itself and from then on he takes the thrills and scares to the next level with each passing episode. He narrated the story in episode manner to avoid confusion. While the start is racy, the narration pace dips a bit during the college scenes. The college happenings &nbsp;are shown in a natural way though it did not add much value to the proceedings.The screenplay turns racy once the protagonist experiences the scary happenings. The interval bang is well placed and sets the tone for the second half.The second half leads to unraveling of the mystery with the flashback episodes. Some of the scenes however turned tiresome but the director managed to make an overall impact. The director depended on the sound design which is of high standard to scare viewers with jump scares. But at times, they turned repetitive, robbing them off the more powerful and impactful experience.The cinematography of Dinesh Diwakaran created a realistic atmosphere and increased the eerie feel with his camera angles and color combinations. This is totally away from his usual urban lover boy image. He has worked hard on his body language as a drunk, careless youth in early scenes and as a ferocious warrior in action blocks. Initially it seems his Rayalaseema dialect and histrionics seem forced but gets better as the movie progresses. In many scenes, his eyes and expressions do more talking than dialogues. Interval bang and climax are where he truly shines. You can feel the anger, helplessness and pain of a leader in him.Rashmika as Jayamma is lovely but her screen time is limited. In the first half, her scenes with Vijay are heartwarming, they give you that light feel in such a heavy film. She brings grace and emotion, and it's good to see she in a role which has very good importance to the story proceedings. But she suddenly disappear and only appears during the later hour in second half and brings emotional anchor.Lal as Bhadramallanna appears in just 2-3 scenes but makes an impact. Mummy fame Arnold Vosloo as brutal commissioner did menacing act. Rahul takes his time to create the world of 1858 Rayalaseema - the Palegaadu system, the British torture, Ranabaali's personal life. Even it is a bit slow here and there, but the Vijay - Rashmika track and period detailing keep us hooked. Interval gives a good high. Second half starts on a powerful note but soon becomes too heavy. The film keeps showing back to back suffering, battles and grief. After a point, it feel choked. We can feel the suffering more than the heroism, because the heroic payoffs don't elevate mainly due to lack of pulsating BGM. With a runtime of almost 2 hours 58 minutes, it feels stretched.Technically, the film is rich. Cinematography by Jishnu Bhattacharjee, and Nirav Shah is one of the biggest assets, it beautifully captures the dry lands, forts and villages of 19th century Rayalaseema. Production design needs a special mention. Except for a few hill portions, you won't feel it's a set, it looks like a real location. Costumes and art department have done a great job. Where the film slips badly is music. Except for Melody song between Vijay and Rashmika, no other song registers. For a film of this scale, it is expected a thundering BGM to lift those elevation scenes. But the score by Ajay - Atul duo lacks that power. That's why even well shot heroic moments and heavy emotional scenes don't give you goosebumps. If those painful scenes had ended with a strong high, the impact would have been much better. He is the soul of Jailer 2. But, in Jailer 1, we saw Muthuvel as a normal, retired, soft spoken jailer and that innocence made his mass transformation organic and emotional. In Jailer 2, he is a powerful force from frame one. That surprise factor is missing. Still, his swag is untouched, his comic timing is spot on and when he walks in slow motion with Anirudh's BGM, theatres still erupt. Those elevation scenes are pure goosebumps.The real surprise is Suraj Venjaramoodu. Honestly, he looks more menacing and serious in the first half than the actual main villains in the second half. He holds the entire first half on his shoulders. His track with Namo Narayana is hilarious and also builds tension.Now coming to the biggest disappointment, the Kalpauk family. SJ Suryah as Bodhi tries his best and gets a couple of good face offs with Rajini, but his character quickly becomes loud and repetitive. Vidya Balan as Kantha gets very less screen time and her villainy barely registers except for a couple of laughs due to her 'message' chemistry with Rajini. Mithun Chakraborty is completely underwhelming. To be frank, none of them come even close to what Vinayakan did as Varma in the first part. That raw, unpredictable madness is totally missing.Namo Narayana as Moorthy is a laugh riot. Probably his best role till date. Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa and Yogi Babu are just okay, they don't have much to do. And we have to talk about the special number. Remember how Tamannaah's Kaavaalaa set screens on fire? Nora Fatehi's number in this one feels forced, like a filler song added just for the sake of it.Jailer 2 (2026) Movie: &nbsp;Technicians ReviewFirst half is completely filled with Nelson mark. This is where he shines. He balances his trademark dark comedy with mass elevations so well. The characters are quirky, dialogues are witty and scenes like the tea stall shooting and bridge fight are designed purely as mass fans moments. Followed by a banger interval block with Dileep just elevates everything and makes us think second half will be bigger.But second half is a different story. Once the Kalpauk family enters, the film becomes static. Same kind of scenes repeat, emotional connect doesn't feel organic like the first part and the confrontations look like Nelson is trying too hard to recreate Jailer 1 moments. The main strength in Jailer 1 is how seamlessly it blends The powerful cameos of Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal into the narrative whereas those cameos look forced and bland in Jailer 2. But, the much talked about Hrithik Roshan Cameo worked well. The pre climax feels stretched and climax fight is well executed.Technically, Anirudh is the second hero after Rajini. His BGM is power packed and lifts every elevation, but the songs themselves break the flow. He never missed the opportunity to elevate Thalaivar's aura. Vijay Kartik Kannan's visuals are slick and give a rich look to both Coimbatore and Goa portions. Editing by Nirmal should have been tighter, especially in the last 45 minutes. At 2 hours 45 minutes, the film feels long. He tried a non-linear screenplay and in shifting from one role to another, did not do justice to any one of characters.The protagonist being immortal excites all. However, there ends the interest, as the film that is set to fascinate viewers instead leaves them confused. After a point time, the immortality itself ends up irritating viewers. The hallucinations, reincarnations and other elements instead end up irritating everyone rather than making them sit up and watch. The screenplay turned out to be abrasive, and the emotions goes missing. Every time Soori tries to jump out of the train, viewers get a feeling that they should jump out of the theatres. The lame excuse and convenient narration played the spoilsport.The music of GV.Prakash Kumar is soulful and his background score elevated the scenes. Ekhambaram's cinematography beautified the film, and he captured the scenic locations in a captivating way. The CGI and VFX are just below average. The artificial feel diluted the overall experience. However, the same cannot be said of Mathi's editing, as the entire narration turned out to be a patience tester. Dialogues are ok.
