Hyderabad, Oct 6: The State Government has decided to depute the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (Ttd), Mr D K Audikesavulu Naidu to represent the State Government in the forthcoming European Telugu Association Conference being held from October 9 to 11 at the Balaji Temple, Dudley and at Kings Hall Stone on Trent, Great Britain.Mr Audikesavulu Naidu, who met the Chief Minister Mr K Rosaiah at Hyderabad on Tuesday informed the Chief Minister that the Ttd is actively contributing to the relief works at Kurnool and other flood affected areas including Mantralaya in coordination with the other Philanthropic organizations.
Apart from arranging food packets and drinking water pockets through Revenue authorities, Ttd is sending one lorry load of rice, provisions besides arranging fire wood and gas for cooking locally at Mantralaya.Further, one lorry load of bedsheets, 3,000 saries, 2,000 dhothis and towels being sent to Mantralaya for distributing to the surrounding villages through Sri D K Audikesavulu Trust & Others, the Ttd Chairman said.Ttd is also arranging free transport for the public who want to send any material to the affected areas, he said.The Ttd employess also contributing their one day salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Ttd will continue to supply food and other material till the position improves, he added.
