One dead in Guntur district

Hyderabad/Hyderabad, Oct  5 :

 Huge   quantities  of water released  from  Prakasam barrage  inundated  about  40 village  in  Guntur  district leaving one  dead. According  to reports  reaching  here,  the swollen  waters  of  river Krishna posed  a severe  threat to the  villages nearby  the  Pulichintala bridge on river Krishna. The  Pulichintala bridge  is  still under  construction

Nearly 30,000 flood victims from these 40  villages  are  taking  shelter in  abut  60  relief  camps  set up by  the Government  in  Guntur  district.
