 The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (Acb) on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the residence and offices of Krishna Mohan, who was working as Assistant Commissioner in Panchayati Raj and Rural Employment in the city and unearthed assets to the tune of Rs 3 lakhs.

The Acb officials conducted simultaneous raids on the office, home and his relatives’ houses in the morning hours. In the searches that continued till evening, the Acb sleuths unearthed  Rs 3 lakh worth assets. His riches included a house, 1250 gms of jewellery, bank balance and other documents. Acb official Sampath Kumar said that the officials are yet to open lockers of Krishna Mohan.

He said they were likely of coming across more assets in terms of cash and jewellery in the lockers. The Acb sleuths conducted raids on Krishna Mohan house following complaints that he amassed assets disproportionate to the known sources of income. A disproportionate assets case has been registered against Krishna Mohan.

In another incident, the Acb officials caught red-handed Polaiah, Assistant Engineer in Nellimarla Transco in Vijayanagaram district for allegedly accepting Rs 15,000 bribe for doing official favour for a person. Following a complaint that Polaiah was demanding cash for doing favour, the Acb laid a trap and arrested him.
