Mahaboobnagar, Sept 30 :
The Army helicopter has rescued five students, who were caught in the flood waters of Dindivagu rivulet in Mahaboobnagar district on Wednesday, due to heavy rains.
The five students had gone to Mahboobnagar for a holiday trip and accidentally caught in swirling waters. Following a request from District Collector and Superintendent of Police, the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, directed the Chief Secretary, P Ramakanth Reddy, to send a helicopter to Vanguru in Pothireddy Mandal in Mahboobnagar district to rescue the students.
He also directed his cabinet colleagues, Minister for Civil Supplies Jupudi Krishna Rao and Minister for Small Scale Industries D K Aruna to supervise the rescue operations personally.
At last, the Army helicopter rescued the five students from swirling waters and all the students are out of danger. The students were identified as—Anil, Raghavendra Reddy, Jagadeshwar, Naveen and Venkata Reddy.
