‘Swift’ has been the most successful model from India’s largest carmaker Maruti. It recorded a growth of 21% last year selling over 1, 40, 000 units against 1, 16, 000 units in the previous year. Naturally, ‘Swift’ accounts for about 25% of the hatchback segment. Now, the company has decided to end the production of this highly selling car giving way to next generation ‘Swift,’ which will be launched in late August or early September with codename YP8.

Undoubtedly ‘Swift’ has become the dream vehicle for all kind of car owners. May not be a shock because. This new version of YP8 will be extra roomy, lighter and return better mileage than the current generation ‘Swift.’ Over all weight of the car is reduced by replacing the metal fuel tank with a plastic tank thatw ill increase vehicles efficieny by 10 to 13% says Business Standard. Dealers have started accepting bookings for the new Swift.
