New fashions need to set a healthy trend but should not target any set of religion. Indian Hindus in Australia are protesting against designer Lisa Burke for making concept bikinis, lingeries and panties decorated with photos of Goddess Lakshmi Devi. Models wearing these costumes made a ramp walk at Australia Fashion week held two days ago in Sydney.
This is considered as an insult to Indian Hindu community and their religious belief. When Indians pressed the event managers to say a sorry for doing such mean and cruel thing, none reacted to this cheap behavior. Harassing Indians has become a regular act for Australians and recent one is attacking on religious fundamentals. Well, it is being said that Lisa is unaware of Indian sentiments to Gods and Goddesses. What saved her from further turmoil is her charity aspect. Yes, Lisa is continuously donating 25% of her profit from sales of lingeries, panties to Australian Whale Conservation Society. Indeed how can such clean lady attempt this nature of religious attack?
