&nbsp;The Congress's much-hyped membership drive in the run-up to its organisational elections hasn't evoked much enthusiasm at the grassroots level in the State after the sudden demise of chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash recently.
In fact, the membership drive launched by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President D Srinivas on Thursday marred by loyalists of late chief minister&rsquo;s son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy (who was popularly known as Jagan) demanding the Congress High Command to make Jagan next chief minister of the state.
When the PCC chief convened a meeting with Karimnagar, Medak, Prakasam, Kurnool and Mahaboobnagar District Congress Committee leaders through video-conference, they opposed to the membership drive till the High Command announces Jagan name for the coveted post.
The members staged dharnas and protest rallies demanding high command to make Jagan as next chief minister. However, D Srinivas appealed to them that the high command would take a positive decision on successor issue. He asked them to continue the membership drive as it would help them take government programmes directly to the people and strengthen the party base at grassroots level.

&nbsp;The Opposition, particularly Telugu Desam Party leaders are making baseless allegations on the implementation of Rajiv Arogyasri scheme, stated Arogyasri Minister Pithani Satyanarayana.
Giving details of the Arogyasri review meeting held with the officials concerned under the leadership of Chief Minister K Rosaiah to media persons on Thursday, the Minister said it was a scheme close to late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy&rsquo;s heart and wanted no lacuna in its implementation. Mr Satyanarayana said the government would release a white paper on the implementation of Arogyasri in the state to clear doubts of Opposition leaders.
It was decided to transfer an amount of Rs 70 crore --- Rs 44 crore from Chief Minister&rsquo;s Relief Fund and Rs 26 crore contributed by State government employees by donating their one day salary to the Arogyasri Trust in a couple of days, he added. Replying to a question about allegations of malpractices by corporate hospitals and misuse of the scheme, he said some complaints had been received and action initiated against the erring hospitals.
He said that the TDP has no moral right to question on the commitment of Arogyasri health insurance scheme, which provides quality medicare to poor. He said that the TDP has no knowledge on the health scheme, medical hospitals and healthcare to the poor as it had not implemented any scheme for the poor. He said that the officials were asked towards further strengthening the scheme in the districts.

The first half except for few scenes is loaded with familiar elements. The second half is loaded with more emotions after all the entertaining and emotional first half. Though the scenes are familiar, they are elevated and made impactful with the performances of the actors. Finally the film ends on a decent tone.The music of GV Prakash Kumar is ok. Couple of songs are attractive. The background score is in sync with the storyline taking viewers seamlessly into the narration. The Cinematography of &nbsp;Nimish Ravi is good. But could have been better as the scenes looked similar and repetitive shades crept in. The editing of Navin Nooli is ok. He could have however turned it more crispy. He tried to thrill viewers with a horror thriller with spiritual elements. The entire first half is narrated in an interesting manner maintaining the suspense and unraveling the twists in an apt manner. The first half narration is decent and the screenplay is intact and racy keeping the interest levels of the viewers quite high setting the tone for the second half.However, MS.Raju loses plot in the second half with convenient screenplay. Instead of the protagonist unraveling the mystery of Agadha, other characters reveal everything to her, leaving nothing for her to do, thus diluting the over all impact. To the top of it, repetitive scenes impacted the flow of the narration. However, he generates interest in the runup to the climax before ending it in a decent manner.Nani Chamidisetty with his cinematography created the desired impact. He showed the scenes in an impactful manner using the color combinations and camera angles perfectly. The VFX and Graphics are of good quality. They could have however taken more care regarding the graphics. Art department could have done a better job as artificiality crept in the sets. The music of &nbsp;Rakesh Venkatapuram is good. He made a powerful impact with his background score elevating the scenes to the next level. Editing of Junaid Siddique is good in the first half but could have been far better in the second half. Arun Matheswaran did not deviate from the subject and even drag the romantic and love tracks with unnecessary lip locks, hugs and songs.Though even few romantic scenes slowed the pace of the film, he ensured that he quicky shifted to action genre to keep viewers interest glued. The first half ends on a decent note with the cat and mouse game between the cops and the rebels. The second half continues in the same way with the introduction of new characters and the pre climax connects chords with all with the film finally ending on a predictable note. The predictability in the story, illogical scenes and few boring elements undid all the hard work.The cinematography of Mukesh is good. He showed the period look in the story in a appealing and relatable manner. Anirudh Ravichander's tunes for the songs are just ok. The songs had a montage touch. To the top of it, the over usage of Korean language puts off the viewers. The interval sequence and the possession of the spirit excites all, setting the tone for the second half.The second half's gangster role is dragged to the core. While few comedy scenes involving Varun Tej and Satya evoked laughter, others looked forced. The climax takes everyone by surprise and though looked different didn't leave the desired impact. The story ends in a funny way with the lead to the sequel.Thaman's music offered nothing new. The songs are few and didn't make much impact. Thaman's background music followed the same template. He however with the background music elevated the scenes. Manojh Reddy with his Cinematography showed the scenes in a realistic way. CGI and VFX looked subpar. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. The screenplay is racy and with twists coming now and then, the first half turns out to be a decent watch.This set the tone for the interesting second half. While many expected the investigation to take off to new heights, the director Karna concentrated on highlighting the emotions and this impacted the pace of the narration. The screenplay went for the toss and this put off the viewers disconnecting them completely.To the top of it, the uneven pace, convoluted screenplay and investigation detailing instead of showing in action, concluding in dialogues, turned out to be a huge disappointment. What started as a thrilling ride turned out to be a bumpy ride in the end.The cinematography of Veda Vyas Gottipati showed the scenes in a natural and impactful manner. He used the camera angles and color combinations to maximum impact to show night scenes in an effective and realistic way. Anil Palasa's editing turned out to be a mixed bag. His editing is tight for most of the first half but he lost focus in the second half including many unnecessary and repetitive scenes.The background music of Sinjith Yerramilli created a good impact and elevated the scenes to the next level taking viewers into the narration keeping the interest levels intact. After a point of time, people look towards the exit door for respite. Even the entry of Mohan Babu doesn't improve the narration and add value to the proceedings.The music tuned GV Prakash Kumar tuned offered nothing new. The songs just come and go like a template and do not add any value to the narration and story. Instead, they turned out to be speed brakers. The makers are now promoting the film not as Vijay's last film but Vijay's first film as the CM. The entire antagonist episode and there after looks silly and ridiculous to the core.The substandard and poor graphics turned the scenes into a tedious watch. the first half turns out to be stale with no real high elements. The second half continues in the similar manner and the core soul and emotion of Bhagawanth Kesari's Beti Ko Sher Banao goes for a toss. The pre climax and climax turns out to be childish with video game like elements. One gets a feeling that even video games or TV serials have better graphics.Anirudh Ravichander is known for his impactful works and he tuned the music and composed BGM for the film. However it turned out to be extremely disappointing as the songs failed to entertain and also not shot in an appealing manner. His background music failed to make any impact. He couldn't be blamed as the narration did not give him chance to do so. The editing of Pradeep Raghav turned out to be miserable. There are many scenes that tested the patience of the viewers. Had he used the editing scissors there wouldn't have been any film at all. The cinematography of Satyan Sooran became a disappointing affair. The dialogues failed to connect chords and most of them are politically motivated. Instead of elevating the emotions to the next level and better than the original, Vinoth concentrated on elevating the heroism of Vijay and also promote his political ideology. This resulted in the film turning out into a half baked one. Even the elevation scenes failed to make an impact and Vinoth shockingly killed the soul of the original. He failed completely with his story, screenplay and direction. The so called changes he made to the original instead of adding value, diluted the essence of the film and the message it intended to give to the society. Jana Nayakudu is touted to be the farewell film for Vijay but it turned out to be a failed farewell. He deserved better rather than this crap.
