The Mana Panel has achieved a major victory in the Telugu Film Producers Council 2026 elections. C. Kalyan from the Mana Panel was elected unopposed as President. Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao was elected as Treasurer. Mohan Vadlapatla from the Mana Panel and Damodara Prasad from the Progressive Panel were elected as Vice Presidents. As Joint Secretaries, Ammi Raju and Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana from the Mana Panel won the elections. In the Executive Committee, three members from the Progressive Panel—Maitri Ravi, Niranjan Reddy and D.S. Rao—were elected. Twelve members from the Mana Panel were also elected to the Executive Committee: Padmini, Asian Sunil, Mohan Goud, Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, Danayya, Vamsi Nandipati, Palli Kesava Rao, Srinivasa Rao, Pullarao, Bapiraju, R.K. Goud and Nayeem. The election result for the Secretary post has been kept confidential as the matter is currently pending in court. Election Officer Durga Prasad will seal the result in a cover and submit it to the court. The result will be officially opened and announced in the presence of the judge on September 8.Speaking after the victory, President-elect C. Kalyan thanked the media and everyone who supported the Mana Panel. He said, “First of all, I thank all the media members who supported us. I also thank everyone who travelled from far away to come and vote for us. Thank you for giving our panel members a victory with a 95% majority. “We have come here to do good for the industry and to work for the welfare of producers. The Telugu film industry is doing well compared to other industries, and we request everyone to cooperate with us. “We will soon hold a press meet and announce our action plan. We will stand by small producers and support them in every possible way. I would like to specially thank Bandla Ganesh for his support.” The votes received by the winning candidates were also announced, and all the elected members were congratulated on their victory. &nbsp;The Chief Minister, K Rosaiah on Wednesday directed the officials to take all steps for implementing the pet project of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy &lsquo;Abhayahastam&rsquo;&nbsp; at any cost from November 1.
At a review meeting convened with the Minister for Rural Development Vatti Vsantha Kumar and top brass at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister also wanted to change the name of scheme after &lsquo;YSR Abhayahastam.&rsquo;
Minister for Rural Development Vatti Vsantha Kumar said the government has identified four lakh beneficiaries to implement the scheme in the first phase. The beneficiaries (old age people) would get Rs 500 pension under the Abhyahastam. He said that the administration has been making efforts to launch the &lsquo;Abhayahastam&rsquo; scheme as per schedule on November 1.
&ldquo;All the field level officials have been directed to inform the same to the public. The administration is of the opinion that this will give a psychological relief to many who were benefiting from various government schemes,&rdquo; he said.
Those who want insurance coverage should pay Rs.400 as premium per year. After the members get insurance cover under group insurance scheme, they would be offered Rs. 30,000 for natural death, Rs. 75,000 for accidental death, Rs. 75,000 for permanent disability and Rs. 37,500 for partial disability, he said. Under the Abhayahastam scheme, the government will also give scholarships for girl children studying from 9th to intermediate.

Already&nbsp; about&nbsp; 35&nbsp; institutes in the state have&nbsp; applied&nbsp; for&nbsp; autonomy till to date.&nbsp; Already&nbsp; another 20 applications are&nbsp; pending with the&nbsp; University Grants Commission now.
Prominent&nbsp; among&nbsp; the institutions&nbsp; seeking the&nbsp; autonomy are&nbsp; St Mary's group of colleges, technical institutions like CBIT and MGIT.
``If autonomy is granted , the administration&nbsp; of the institute will be in the hands of the management. There will not be much of a problem for&nbsp; getting&nbsp; the&nbsp; things done,&rsquo;&rsquo; said one of the&nbsp; representative of a college management which has applied for autonomous status.
According to the highly placed sources here,&nbsp; the&nbsp; institutions which are granted autonomous&nbsp; will have less interference&nbsp; from the Government. Without&nbsp; bothering&nbsp; about the&nbsp; quality of education they offer&nbsp; the management&nbsp; can charge the&nbsp; fee according to their&nbsp; wish. So that is the reason why&nbsp; there is&nbsp; a mad rush for&nbsp; autonomy.

He chose a simple point and narrated it in an interesting manner.Though the narration is predictable with three youngsters roaming listlessly before realizing their mistake and changing accordingly, the Deccani accent and the Old City vibes added value to it. What surprises all is that the director did not include a female lead in the film. He showed the female character as the sister to the three main characters.The dialogues are entertaining and natural, and none of them look forced and out of sync. The interval bang is done well turning the first half into a decent one. The second half continues in the same manner, and the screenplay and narration goes in a smooth and sedate manner.However for all the positives, the director after highlighting the conflict point and establishing it quite well, ends the film in a flat manner, disappointing all.The cinematography of SVK showed the Hyderabad old city vibes in a natural and realistic way. He used the camera angles to perfection and showed the nightlife and also the day hustles quite well and in an effective manner.The background score of Smaran Sai is good and complemented the proceedings, adding value to the narration. He came up with foot-tapping songs highlighting the old city culture and Deccani flavor. The first half sails off smoothly with the typical introduction of the protagonist in a commercial mass manner and carries it in the same manner. However, in between, he loses steam, but still, the first half ends on a decent note, setting the tone for the second half.He continues in the same manner in the second half but adds a few more intense emotional elements. A couple of twists generate interest, surprising all. The twists come as a surprise in a rather predictable story, and the flat narration, especially in the second half. However, once the twists are unraveled, there is nothing much in the story to take it forward. The climax ends on an emotional note.GV. Prakash Kumar elevated the scenes with his background music. His background score added impact to the emotional scenes. His music and tunes for the songs already became the chartbusters. He takes the viewers into the story at the start itself but from then on failed to drive home the point in a convincing manner. The Ravi , Swetha love track and the father-daughter marriage episodes ends up testing the patience of the viewers.The court drama and the land dispute in the second half is shown in an illogical and silly manner. The point as to why son is hating his father is not shown in an elaborate manner and the father son bonding is not elevated properly except in the climax.A more racy screenplay, more intense and entertaining script would have added value to the narration. However, Vishal included more family drama, action elements instead of highlighting the main topic.All the scenes right from the first scene turned routine, monotonous and predictable. Many expected things to change after Vishal who was seen as a honest and innocent medical representive gets trageted. But nothing of that sorts happen and the entry of other Vishal character is expected to change the proceedings at least in the second half. However, the narration nosedives in the second half to a new low. The scenes featuring Vishal, Dushara Vijayan lack the emotional connect and looks mundane and the so called comedy with Thambi Ramaiah doesn't work.Things doesn't change in the second half and the so called flashback episode which is expected to take the film to next level is dragged to the core testing the patience of the viewers. The chemistry between Vishal and Anjali looked odd on screen and to the irritation of viewers, the pre climax and climax is dragged to the next level leaving people wonder when the film will end. The climax fight looked silly and illogical leaving all shocked. The story is outdated and screenplay and direction didnot inspire any confidence.GV. Prakash Kumar's music offered nothing new. The tunes turned below average. His background music fared no better. At times it turned out to be loud. The cinematography of Richard M Nathan is just average. Dialogues are pretty ordinary. While the screenplay is racy and narration is quite fast paced in the first half, the second half narration slides down with monotonous elements. Hyderabad, Sept 23:
 The World Bank on Wednesday released Rs 720 crore loan for taking up various development projects in the state. According to reliable sources, the World Bank has sanctioned the loan for implementing various welfare programmes of the state government launched during the then chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. The government will utilize the loan for improving village sanitation and supplying clean water in the rural areas.
The loan will be utilized for providing facilities in 2,600 villages in six districts. About 1 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water, and 2.5 billion people lack access to adequate sanitation, according to the World Bank.
